Diffusion Alloy’s new aluminizing furnace began operation successfully last week. With the ability to coat tubes and components up to 18.5 metres (60 feet) long, the new furnace gives Diffusion Alloys Middlesbrough facility a globally unique capability.
Diffusion alloys NE business focuses on coating large parts to give corrosion resistance in the process industries. Aluminizing has a wide range of uses in the process industry, but is particularly useful in fertiliser production, desulphurisation of fuel and carbon capture and storage (CCS).
